Lalakhal is one of the most attractive tourist spot in Shylet. This is a wide canal.
It's located at Jaintiapur in Shylet. The name of the river is "Sari" which is famous for its high quality sand for construction..This river is shared with India.The origin of this river is in the Meghalaya state of India.
Ghat's name is "sarighat"similar with the name of river. From Shylet to Sarighat it takes about 1 hour . You can hire engine boat to go "Lalakhal". If boats are unavailable there, you have to make 8 km road by walking. This boat will take 300 - 500 taka. This place name is also "Gawaneghat". But I am not sure about here's security. Another way is, to contact with NazimGarh Resort, they have boat. It will charge 500 taka half an hour. They will arrange that..For traveller Gawaneghat is cheaper...But you know girl, so I have to take a little bit more security about me thats why i choose the NajimGarh restaurant.
This is all about the way, how can you reach this place now come to the real point..It's View...Just WOW...spechless..The water is crystal clear and the color is green..Its blue green mixed. The more you forwarded to "Lalakhal' the water color becomes greener if you are coming from the ghat..From nazimgarh restaurant you can see this beautiful view.
One more important thing, You can think tat rainy season 'lalakhal' will be filled of water, this time is best to go,than you are totally wrong. Winter time is the best time to go "lalakhal". Because this time this canal makes its own beauty.
The canal is not very deep You can swim but for safety you should use life jacket.I booked from "Nazimghar resort", and than just enjoy the view, the hill, quietness, green, blue-green crystal water...Me and my sister also Drink this water..Ohh our hero Ayan, my sisters baby, he also drinking. :)
The last is without seeing its view you cannot feel its beauty...
